As I arrive to my weekly babysitting jobs, polite, well-mannered children greet me at the door. Once the parents leave, the entire atmosphere shifts and I find myself separating clawing children and dodging the bullets from their ample supply of nerf guns. I then clean up the trail of food and toys that was left as a mark, only to find it leading to a bedroom where more disaster could be found. After dinner, usually consisting of Mac and Cheese, we eventually agree on a movie and finally I get the kids to settle down. As soon as the movie finishes, I take the third, crabby children upstairs and finally tucking them in, making this evening a success. When the parents get home, they come to a clean house with no remains of the crazy evening, they send me home, then give each of their little “angels” a kiss goodnight.
