You love him, you hate him, you can’t live without him
You leave, then turn around, back and forth you’re always running
It’s like an emptiness every time you’re not around
If you ever leave, you’ll sink his happiness right on down
Sometimes you lose hope, but you keep the faith
Cause something about him tells you this is fate
So much like each other, the only difference is
When it comes to some opinions, you’ve got a couple differences
He wants you so bad, you want him too
It’s just a relationship, no need to worry about “I do”
What you hardly seem to notice,
Is that he’d go so far to have this,
To have you in his arms and spend time with you
And keep the spontaneity, every time it’s something new
What’s sad is you love the times you have,
But when you think of you and him, there’s still something wrong with that
Especially when he treats you like no one else does,
But instead of what it is, you only see what it was
When it was back then and he made a couple mistakes
This is Battleship of love; you hit love and missed hate
You’re crazy about him, but too many thoughts are pacing in your mind
You got to choose for yourself, but you’re running out of time…

The author's comments:
I was laying in bed one night, and a thought about an old relationship hit me. Several minutes later, got to writing this as if it were a letter to a girl in a dilemma regarding her relationship.

The detail is amazing. There are way too many relationships like this.

I like this poem, but there are some parts that just don't flow well. Like how the 8th line ends with the words "difference is" and the very next line ends with "differences". It just sounds like you're trying too hard to rhyme.
