As the cold winds of march blow past
Packs of clouds gather together
Resting in great fluffy clumps
In their personal patches of air
Listening for their cue to release their wet burdens
Streaks of lightning cut through the sky
Heavy bouts of thunder shake the ground
Old traditions standing true, but
Where is the water?
Each piece of dirt waits in eager expectation
Rain finally bursts through the clouds door and
Soaks deep into the veins of the earth

Beauty is found in a darkened sky as the
Rushing waterfall pours and pours
In a river of days and
Nights all flooded
Grass breaks the ground and sunlight comes

Marking everything beneath with warmth and light
Anointing the trees with new clothes which they have so
Yearned for
For they love their bright coverings
Lovelies such as daffodils and tulips
Open up their soft bodies with a welcoming aroma
While dandelion seeds are blown to the breeze
Ever moving, carrying children’s wishes
Reds and golds, teals and indigos, raise up unto the
Sunshines sweet breath
