Acting for real
There was no pain in his words
No regret or reluctance
But he acknowledged the hurt
Reflected, in that instant
Not quite the most pleasant time
For anyone who was there
I was screaming and crying
While passing people just stared
‘Course, I was ready for more
Just not this harsh, this open
But what good is a player
Without his paying patrons?
