Perception of loneliness embodied in a painting of a girl. The girl does not have a shadow to indicate she is not sitting on a surface or dimension. The decision was made to further explore the perpetual depth of loneliness. Inspired by Mark Rothko's expression of emotion through color, her hands and face are dipped in a fathomless hue of dark blue created by layering alizarin crimson, phalo blue and green.
