These done by pencil and water color. I was inspired by the Eric Garner incident and the character May in the Secret Life of Bees. I feel like at some point of our lives we learn to face the reality of the cruel world and feel the pain of others. But the world is too heavy for us to carry it all at once. It is important to block out all the bad things in life and enjoy what you have. We need to just ignore and brush off the heavy world and spend time with the ones we love. I wrote a personal note in my journal to describe this drawing. “ I am not afraid if the world falls down because I know we got each other. Even if death is tomorrow I will dance with you til that day comes because life will be infinite when I am with you. We can look at all the bad things in life, but we will still be holding hands, smiling like we did not give a damn.”
