I had been sitting at lunch with my sketchbook, and decided to try drawing my friend. It actually came out pretty okay, at least, that's what I'd like to think. :)

I like the solid outlines, and the lighter facial features in between. I feel like she looks at peace, but the grainy shading adds an interesting effect- as if there's a distance, emotional or otherwise, from her. It's quite intriguing. My only constructive criticism would be regarding her hand- it looks a bit like an afterthought, since it's not as bold as the rest. Other than that, very good! :)
