This piece was inspired by how two different objects can be individuals, but influences others as well. The piece is full of contrast; from the geometric and organic shapes, the coloring and the convex and concave detailing. The piece also expresses balance in an unbalanced world, where even though the heavy and constant geometric cubes lay on top and below the liquid sphere they can stay in unity with one another, even though it looks as if it is falling.

The process of building this piece started with rolling thin slabs for the cubes and the making a pinch pot. I then detailed the pinch pot with pulling the sides in to look like wrinkles from weight above. Then I detailed the cubes. The bottom I pushed in and the top I added clay. Each side is different in design.
