Figure constructed from pieces of scrap plastic, old necklaces, and a toy wheel. The base is an altered flower pot with a manipulated CD-R. Past is symbolized with red. The pot represents the mind and containment of memory. Even in the wake of beautiful points in life (the flowers) memories can flood through into conscious thought. The line separating them (the CD) is collaged with wants, needs, declarations and reality-dream observations. The man is reaching upwards in an effort to turn his hope and strength (yellow ribbon) into reality and overcome his past.

This is a very visually appealing sculpture and i love the meaning behind it. My favorite part is the man reaching upwards :)
