Imagine if you were playing in a tournament and you get third or second and you don’t get a medal. Would you be mad? If you lose you shouldn’t get medals unless you get second place.
Some argue losing is bad, but I think it teaches kids lessons and they can learn from it. The text states “learning to lose at an early age could make children more resilient.” This shows that kids can learn and overcome this and work hard so that they can come back and win next time.
On the other hand, the others think that kids should get trophies even if they lose. “They think children will not learn to recover from disappointment or failure.” This quote is showing some kids may not, but that is why as a parent or guardian you should talk to them and encourage them.
In the paragraph above it says how kids might not overcome that, but that is why parents need to step up and make them work and come back and maybe win.
I think this topic is important because it teaches kids a lesson. I see this as an opportunity for adults to step up and talk to their kids about losing at an early age. This has impacted are world by seeing what kids and adults can handle kids losing and being mad at an early age. Adults and kids just need to step up!
