world series

the 2009 world series is between the new york yankeess and the philidelphia phillies. the two dominant east coast teams took control and wiped out the west coast. in the 2008 world series the phillies becaame world champions when they beat the rays in a five game series. now in 2009 the phillies are looking for a repeat of 2008. standing in their way is the new york yankees. in 2009 the yankees had the best record in baseball. the yankees have not won it all in a while, so they are looking for their 27th world series trophy.
