Out of Love
“Ha ha ha
 It’s so funny”
 I laugh at your joke
 It stings a little
 But you say
 It’s out of love
 So that makes it okay.

 “Ha ha
 You’re right.”
 Another joke
 Sarcastic remark
 That one bites
 More than stings
But you say it’s out of love,
 So that makes it okay

 “Ha.”
 Not funny.
 More jokes
 Worse every say
 Stab wounds
 Instead of
 Bite marks
 And bee stings
But you say it’s out of love,
 So I guess it’s okay

 I don’t laugh
 I don’t agree
 I don’t think it’s funny
 In fact,
I feel like a gunshot victim
 Or a dying animal
 But everyone tells me
 “It’s
 Only
 Out
 Of
 Love,
 So that makes it okay”
