I Am Rubber
Sometimes I stand
tall, like an erect
sex object, and I tower over
my puny, flimsy peers – but
I'm not the real thing; I'm only
made of rubber.
It does not take much
force for me to bend. And when
I bend I fold. I loosen. I morph
into a ball – a solid rubber
ball. And when I’m like this
the harder I am thrown, the higher
I bounce back. Sometimes I soar
so high, it makes me wonder
why I
even tried to stand up in the first place.
