hey mom; hey dad
Hey mom; hey dad
It is me just once again
I am writing you a notice letter before it is the end
There are things you need to know before I take a drive
For the time you will be reading this I will not be alive
Hey mom; hey dad
Please when after reading do not think of me so low
For the sake of both of you I am going to take it slow
To start off, I cannot remember actually feeling happy
I faked it all for you so you wouldn't be so angry
All this has been going on since the seventh grade
All the things I have said, done, and thought made me go insane
Hey mom; hey dad
I finally hit my breaking point, and I am not doing so well
I have been in a constant battle with brain for as long as time could tell
Hey mom; hey dad
Remember all the extra makeup you guys had bought?
I ran out so quickly because I had to cover up more than what you thought
I'm shocked you never noticed
They were all right in plain sight
After every time I have done it, I guess I felt alright
You guys were always such good parents, and there is nothing you could have done
I just hope you guys are proud of the girl I have become
Hey mom; hey dad
I have never did drugs; never once touched a drink
I guess all the speeches you guys gave really made me think
This was my battle to fight and I lost it pretty bad
You guys can finally be happy knowing I am no longer sad
I hope you understand this is for the best
But now I think it is time for me to go and rest
Hey mom; hey dad
Tell my brother not to be upset, and that I won't be far behind
Tell my sister that I love her, and I am always by her side
To the best parents I girl could ask for; tell my unborn sister about the dangers of the world
Hey mom; hey dad
I love you both so much, and I really, really tried
But now it is time where your daughter says goodbye
I am sorry for the tears to come
It is really not meant to hurt you
It is supposed to show all of the things you guys never knew
I am sorry for the trouble I have caused
Do not think of it as death; just my life forever on pause
Hey mom; hey dad
This is not goodbye
I'll see you another day
This is where the letter ends for I have nothing left to say
Hey mom; hey dad
I will be watching from the moon
I'll see you guys one day soon
