Flyby MAG
At night sometimes when walking through the streets
I feel the face of darkness grin at me;
and in the eyes of people when we meet
there's festering suspicion. I can see
the ocean's stare reflects a look of pain -
a world of rotting people staring in -
virginity is gone from snow and rain
because the sky screams acid, flame and sin.
You cannot walk now in the world alone,
those burning eyes will drill into your head,
they'll shape out of your heart a twisted throne,
they won't snap shut till all the eyes are dead:
and so they bide their time like feeding flies -
and, oh my God above, who closed your eyes?
