The Whales' Legacy MAG
All alone in the great big sewer,
Swam the mighty whale;
And as this creature swam along
He slapped his mighty tail.
His tail sent ripples through the mud,
As he sloshed it to and fro;
He seemed to numbly disregard
The sludge that lay below.
His movement was a struggle:
Each paddle and each thrash.
The whale, he moved on bravely,
Through the mounds of trash.
Syrup-thick was the water,
But the whale just struggled through.
He dreamed of something better,
Like the oceans he once knew.
But, you ask, why would this whale,
Swim in garbage so severe?
The only ones who can reply
Are the humans, who put him here.
