They Flooded the Ghetto MAG
When I first read this piece
it threw me off my feet
I can’t lie
Yes, I cried
In New Orleans people have died
They hurt day and night
but they still give a fight
just to live,
as we give
It hurt my heart
just like a dart
I showed my care
so no lives were spared
I really related to it when you said
“They flooded the ghetto I can’t sleep at night
and no, everything is not all right.”
It made me sad
and also mad
people had to live through the disaster
the process of rebuilding should go faster
Don’t be wrong
They are strong
it will end
I hope you write again.
