In reference to "Beauty is the Beast" by Bridget W
I really enjoyed reading this poem by Bridget W. The stark contrast between her light and dark imagery really sends home the persona she is trying to create. In a way, it reminds me of society's "perfect people," because we read so often in books that these people are often either insecure or even hideous monsters that it has become our own judgement onto them. There is that strong contrast between the outer beauty versus the inner beauty, and I think it is a beautifully written poem with strong language. Well done!
