What does it take for your work to be published in Teen Ink? There is no one right answer. Obviously, there are certain requirements, but regardless, there is no guarantee that you will be published. Many people try over and over, and let me tell you, it is not easy. Your work must stand out.

As my cheer coach always says, “Awe the judges. Give them a reason to notice you.” You may submit a piece you feel is your best work, but remember, you are competing with someone else's best work. Go full out and show them what you can do. Remember, the most important thing is to never give up, for you will never have a chance if you don't try.
