Ditch Your Gender
"Ditch Your Gender," by Emily Locke shows a magnificent point of view focusing on how acceptance and equality is key in today's society. A woman should not be judged based on her knowledge of a vehicle just like a man should not be judged on his baking skills. This piece moves me throughout. I feel anger due to the realization of all the hate and judgment in the world, and I feel sadness because of the recent teen suicides that surround this topic. This excellently written poem moves me to make a change in the world.
