Apartment 12B
Reading “Apartment 12B” by Shona J, gave me the chills. This story was very unexpected. When you first start reading it, you think it’s going to your average, fiction short story. But you are suddenly proved wrong about two paragraphs into reading. This story is filled with many strong emotions; including: hope, terror, worry, and curiosity. It also shows you a good perspective of reality.
Many people can probably relate to this story in different ways. Whether you have experienced death or if you just go through life scared of what might come next or simply the possibility of something bad happening. I feel like this story had a great metaphorical meaning in how it shows the determination and strength of this young girl that had just been told very depressing news. It makes you wonder if she was scared at all or if she thought she would be able to live through with a fight.
