With sadness I must agree with “Erin’s” article “Changing My Adjectives.” In today’s society, a growing amount of young women do not know the difference between a healthy and a dangerous relationship, from what I have observed. With a simple apology of their loved ones, many crawl back to their abuser believing they will change but in reality once a person gets used to hitting another they will become accustomed. It is a mistake of these young girls to believe they, without any professional experience, are capable of changing the corrupt. Unfortunately those who do give forgiveness hide the consequences of staying with their abuser. Hiding their marks “with layers of makeup” and isolating themselves from their friends and family. I encourage victims of an abusive relationship to seek help and thrive for a better life. Also, thanks to “Erin” for exposing the consequences of an abusing relationship.
