I can most definitely relate to Amanda T when she talks about her first day as a freshman in "The Big Day." I was so nervous, that I couldn't even concentrate on what I was doing. Kind of like what Amanda said, "I get ready slowly and nervously. My shower takes longer than usual; I shampoo my hair three times without realizing it because my brain is so focused on the day ahead." The crazy thing about it, was that I had the same excitement as her brother, who was, "so cool, calm, and collected." Thank you, Amanda, for letting me know that I wasn't the only one that was nervous my freshman year of high school.
