I love to write and read.  To become published in a magazine would be wonderful.  So, I constantly write poetry and send them to Teen Ink with high hopes that it's worthy of being "magazine material".  Of course pride comes before destruction;  is that why I never make the cut, because I'm too prideful of my work?  Or is another way of telling me practice makes perfect?

I read the FAQ's almost all the time, reading the steps to get published.  Getting an idea of the work that gets published in their magazine is one the steps.  So, that's what I do.  I read all kinds of articles on their website thinking, hmm, maybe that's what I should be writing about.  But I fail to realize the real reason why that specific article was chosen; it was orginal, and now I realize that magazine material is writing something original and writing what YOU care about and  not what other pepole care about.  I guess I should start trying that.
