In the writing titled Let’s Talk About Mental Health written by Cindy, I felt related, determined, and angry.  I can relate to this text more than some, but also less than some.  There are many people in the U.S., teens especially, with mental health problems.  They feel alone as if they can’t openly talk about it.  As Cindy states “… told me to ‘just get over it,’ probably because our society is not willing to talk about it openly.” People push mental health to the back burner. It is incredibly frustrating, having been in the position before and feel like no one cares. Cindy states her feelings when she says “I have been made to feel ashamed and weak because of my illness.” People should be able to speak about mental health without being disregarded or judged.  I am determined to talk about mental health.  I will start the conversation.
