Why should TMS bring back the old phone policy? Some might say that having phones throughout the day can make students more addicted, but we should allow students to use them during the school day because we can use them during free time, the current policy makes students secretly check their phones anyway, and having quick access to our phones can be useful in emergencies.

First, TMS should change the current phone policy to being able to use them during free time. Lunch and passing time is our free time so we should be able to use our phones. One other reason we should be able to see our phones during our free time is because we could be doing school work at lunch. The last reason why we should be able to use our phones during free time is because of music. Music can help students focus and we could be focused and do school work at lunch.

Second, with the current phone policy,  students check their phone in secret. Students at  TMS feel the need to use their phones more because we can use them during our free time, so kids learn to be more sneaky when using phones. Students use their phones in secret a lot more than last year.  When caught using their phone, students refuse to give their phone to the teacher when caught. Then the student and teacher surge and no one wins the fight and everyone gets mad 

My third reason on why TMS should change their policy is that having your phone in your pocket is useful in case of an emergency. Imagine an emergency.You need your phone but it's in your bag and you can't get to your bag. Having your phone in your pocket can prevent people from getting their phone stolen from students. Having the phone in your pocket it quick access, w hat if you need to talk to one of your parent you have the phone in your pocket 

Three reasons why TMS should bring back the old phone policy are it would give students more free time, kids are already using their phones in secret, and keeping phones in your pocket would help during an emergency. With the current phone policy students become more sneaky when using their phone so if we bring back the old phone policy students won't feel the need to use phones. If TMS brings back the old phone policy student might give the teacher their phone when caught and not argue. Mabye next time you see the principle maybe you should ask him to change the phone policy and give him the three reason
