Narrator: In the rise of the summer in China, the juniors from Summit Shasta get a trip to the humid area of Wuhan. On May 27th, 2026, Aidan, RJ and Xavier are amassed together, and go through the first day of their trip. Shasta wanted to save some money for different areas of the trip, so they had to get a cheaper and local hotel. They arrived. Although, a chaperone crosses their way.

Gong 

Xavier: Oh my gosh! Finally we made it to the hotel!

Bed squeak

RJ: That whole trip was tiring.

AIdan: On God! I just wanna sleep.

RJ: Do y’all know who’s gonna be our chaperone for our hotel? I hope it’s Mathias’ dad.

Xavier: I don’t know. Whoever it is, I just hope they don’t snore. 

Door knob moves and door opens

Andrew’s Dad: Hello?

Aidan: Holy Crap!

RJ: No way, it’s Andrew’s Dad!

Andrew’s Dad: What’s good guys!

Aidan: Heyyyy Mr. Ham!

Xavier: Nah, Andrew’s Dad is cool as heck, thank god it wasn’t Preston’s Dad!

RJ: I know! He’s exactly like Preston.

Aidan: Alright guys, let’s just go to sleep.

Andrew’s Dad: For sure, let me just turn the air conditioner on, it's super humid in here.

Xavier: Haven’t you already been in this type of environment? Shouldn’t you be used to the heat?  

Andrew’s Dad: Yeah, but I left many years ago with Andrew and his mom, so I got used to the Bay Area weather.

Click, air conditioner turns on

RJ: Ohh yeah, that makes sense.

Dragon Roar

Aidan: What the heck was that?

Xavier: What happened?

RJ: I thought I was tripping out, Aidan!

Xavier: Bro, was that a dragon?!

Andrew’s Dad: Nah, I heard that too.

RJ: It’s probably just from the other room.

Aidan: That’s crazy. I'm just gonna go to sleep though.

RJ: Alright, goodnight.

Dragon roar, even louder.

RJ: Oh nah, that was even louder!

Aidan: Bro I’m so tired, what is that?

Andrew’s Dad: Guys we need to go sleep we have a big day tomorrow.

Xavier: Nah, I’m st mane.

Andrew’s Dad: I just got a text from Preston’s Dad. He’s said he walked by the reception downstairs and he’s hearing it really loud down there. 

Narrator: Because Xavier, RJ, and Andrew’s Dad still had some energy, they dragged Aidan out of bed to go down to the reception, and find the source of this strange sound.

Aidan, Yo, where’s the receptionist?

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding

RJ: Xavier stop ringing the stupid bell on the desk.

Xavier: Ight. My bad.

Andrew’s Dad: I’m trying to text Preston’s dad to ask for more info, but he’s not responding.

Aidan: Bruh, let’s just go to sleep, the sound isn’t even here any more.

Xavier: Yo, there’s an open door behind the reception desk!

RJ: Let’s go in!

Narrator: Although the door leading to stairs going down is dark, their curiosity, along with Mr. Ham leading the way through the dark corridor, the students feel confident to go down this dark path. Little did they know, this is a grave mistake. Aidan, RJ, and Xavier follow Mr. Ham.

Concrete footsteps

Aidan: Man, I knew we shouldn’t have gone down here! This place is darker than-

RJ: XAVIER! Where did you go?

Xavier: Bro I’m right in front of you…

(Dragon Roar)

Xavier: Fool, that almost ruptured my ears mane!

Door suddenly closes

RJ: Uh oh.. Guys, I think we are stuck in here!

Andrew’s Dad: Let

 me try to go back up the stairs, it shouldn’t be locked!

Footsteps and doorknob trying to move but it doesn’t open

Xavier: Ain’t no way we are locked in here.

RJ: Aidan, give me your phone, I didn’t bring mine, I need a flashlight! Aidan? Aidan?

Footsteps

Andrew’s Dad: Where did Aidan go?

RJ: Bruh, I swear he just disappeared!

Xavier: Is he not upstairs with you, Mr.  Ham?

Andrew’s Dad: Let’s go into this other room, maybe he is in here!

RJ: Aidan? Aidan? Where are you?

Xavier: Aye Aidan this isn’t cool or funny bro!

Andrew’s Dad: I’m gonna be in real trouble if we lost Aidan. I’m really petrified right now.

RJ: It’s good Mr, Ham, we’ll find him.

Dragon Roar

Xavier: That was super loud too, let’s just go back.

RJ: Yeah, there’s a dead end here.

Glass breaks

RJ: Woah, what was that?!

Xavier: I think I stepped on glass! No way, this is Andrew’s dad’s glasses! 

RJ: What the heck? How did he disappear? We were just with him! This has to be a prank!

Narrator: As half of their group disappears out of thin air, glasses, rice crackers, and many of Andrew’s Dad’s belongings are on the ground.

Xavier: RJ this seems like a trap, it's basically a path down this dark stairwell.

RJ: I have a funny feeling about this!

Dragon Roar

Xavier: Bro, that was right next to us on the left!

RJ: You know what, let’s just go into this door! I’m not scared at all. 

Door Opens

RJ: X, did you open that?

Xavier: Bro, i’m literally behind you?!

Footsteps

Narrator: As they walk through the door frame, a sight fills their eyes with a vision they would never have expected. Aidan’s body, severed, broken, and split into many gruesome pieces. 

RJ: Aidan no! He's getting eaten by the dragon!

Dragon Eating

Aidan: ahhhhhh helpppppppppp

Xavier: Is that… Is that Andrew’s Dad next to the dragon?!

RJ: Mr. Ham!! It was you all along??

Andrew’s Dad, without an accent: I’m sorry it had to be this way boys, but my dragon is hungry, and he needs to be fed.
