In “Mountain of Pasta” by Ashley Hatfield and Peyton Ashcraft, the reader goes on a journey through the life of falling in love with someone below the class standard. Through the ups and downs, Jane and Mike, the two main characters, live happily ever after despite the fact that Jane’s father is disappointed in her choice of men. It is obvious through this spectacular story that the two magnificent writers were attempting to point out that you cannot help who you fall in love with and that love, when it is true, is passionate, can cause pain, and in the end will be stronger from the trials it went through.

In the story, Jane and Mike go through the “honey moon phase” where they were so madly in love that even the annoying sound of French people yelling “get a room” wouldn’t even stop them from showing their affections to one another. Not too long following the beginning of their passionate love, the trials began to come about. After a huge fight Jane couldn’t help but feeling as if “he hates me”, and would never love her again. Once she talked to her friend, she realized that she was so in love with this man that she could not go another day without him, and soon decided she was going to fight for him. After traveling to his house, she bangs on his front door till he answered, claimed that she loved “You”, Mike, “Not him”, George. In the end the two fell madly in love once again and lived happily ever after.

Though not everyone’s love story can fallow the picturesque setting and plot of “Mountain of Pasta”, all love takes everyone on emotional rollercoaster’s that end with either sadness or happiness. Don’t forget “Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable. “
