“The best and worst beautiful things can not be seen or even touched- they must be felt with the heart,” declared Helen Keller (Keller). It started in the Christmas of the Third Grade. I received my first Xbox360 and a copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?. Like Helen I overcame being a bad C.o.D player. Helen’s family hired Annie Sullivan to try to teach Helen. Annie successfully taught helen to understand what water after a month of teaching.
Like Helen I had an obstacle of being of being bad at C.o.D I was a laughing stock of my team when I started playing. Then I added Nick Kuhl as a friend then we practiced, he would tell me the best set up to make learning easier. After two years I started getting extremely good, I started Competing in tournaments and over a year i had won $65
Me and Helen’s obstacles share a few similarities. Helen and I’s obstacles were both overcome with determination. Not only determination but will power, we both had to want to improve. In conclusion Helen and I had similar traits to overcome our obstacles.
Helen Keller had to overcome the problem of communication likewise I had to overcome being a bad Call of Duty player. I learned from Helen that someone has it worse than you have it. I learned from myself that if you practice over and over again you can accomplish anything. “Walking With a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light,” stated Helen Keller (Keller)
