Keeping My Eye on the Ball
“Keeping My Eye on the Ball”
Different experiences can help you grow as a person and have an impact on your life such as school activities. One of my extracurricular activities is softball. At softball I learned to be confident in myself and make goals to improve. I also learn to support others around me. The softball team is a positive environment in which I can only grow in. Last season in softball, I played the position of pitcher. I never was a pitcher before. I attempted to do the best that I could on the pitcher position that I could while focusing on getting the ball in the strike zone more than speed. I went over the fundamentals of pitching every day to try to get better and not let myself and the team down. I also watched videos online to understand the techniques and different styles of pitching. Through this experience I developed confidence socially and internally.
