My Name
In Latin my name means “Bringer of Light”. My name is farmland. boring nothingness. Like driving through Nebraska in March. Nothing.
The most boring name. With no reason for it but that it was easy to say. Similar to my brother’s (Nathan). easy to say. But my grandmother still calls me by a nickname, Luke. Which reminds me of my favorite movie series. Star Wars. The main character, much like myself, is a young kid trying to learn to be the best he can.
Facing many challenges along the way him and his friends would try and restore peace to the glaxay and be the best jedi he can be. Traveling with his friends and a father figure much like myself.
My name, Lucas Ryan. “the bringer of light”. I don’t see the light in my name. I see paint drying on a wall. I see Nebraska. But—I don’t mind it. afterall nobody ever messes up my name.
