The Persian gulf war was a major event for the middle east. The war started the aerial bombing campaign. The war was fought between Iraq and united nations, in 1990 and 1991. The conflict was for Kuwait. There is 2 Persian gulf wars. My group was based on the first one. United Stated of America did fight in the Persian Gulf war. The war mainly took place in the Persian gulf, but did fight in land also. The gulf has many good fish and is well populated with wild life. Their has been some petroleum spills because of the Iraq war. The gulf is 251,000 km2. The length is 989 kilometers long. Countries that have a coastline with the gulf is Iran, Oman, United Arab, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The gulf Is rich with gas and oil.
