ATTENTION! ATTENTION! : Pollution Problems All Over the World. People need to know that water pollution has ruined the Earth. Waste in America is about half the size of Texas. People should know that wasted energy is a major problem. People need to learn about pollution problems in America with water, waste, and energy pollution.
People need to know that water pollution has ruined the Earth’s water with plastic, drinking water, and oceans. Some people don’t care about water so when their water is all brown because they didn’t do anything about water pollution, they should not go crying to the government. About 10% of the earth’s plastic ends up in the ocean (Ward). In the world, there are 1.1 billion people without drinking water (Ward). Also Americans use about 1,500 gallons of drinking water a day (Ward). Thirdly, United Nations estimated that there are about 46,000 pieces of plastic in every square mile of the ocean, including the Great Pacific Garbage patch (Ward). It was collecting in two pacific gyres for the past fifty years. Water isn’t as bad as waste though.

People need to learn about pollution problems in America when waste in America is about half the size of Texas because of the types, the number of people, and hazardous chemicals. Some people think that a couple of waste plants are okay, so people wouldn’t mind if the world was all covered in waste, because they wouldn’t. Each year 7 million cars are discarded along with 100 million tires, 20 million tons of paper, and 48 billion cans (Ward). In 2006, the average waste produced per person was 4.6 pounds (Ward). Also, there are 1,301 hazardous waste sites in America (Ward). New Jersey tops the list with 117 waste sites (Ward). Worse than waste is energy.
People should know that energy is a major problem with transportation in the world, transportation in the United States, and the general usage of energy. Some people don’t care that energy would harm people if it got out of control. Today, “Americans use more energy than ever before” (Ward). In 2008 there were 600 million vehicles worldwide (Ward). Also, in 2005 there were 247.4 million cars just in the United States (Ward). Energy is the major problem but some people don’t seem to care.

People need to learn that pollution of water, waste and energy should be the main priority in the U.S. If the world’s water source was polluted, no one would be able to have any water to live. Also, if the world was covered with waste, the world would be one big pigsty. Lastly, if the world continued to have energy problems like today we will eventually live in a world without electricity. Not a lot of people care about what happens to Earth. More people should take responsibility about pollution.
