Hungry Eyes
February 4, 2013
I see it on her face everyday.
The pain of an empty stomach.
EMPTY EYES,
wandering the hallways,
taking stairs two at a time,
counting calories.
CRYING EYES,
when the monster gnaws on nothing.
Warm hands and hugs,
try to comfort,
try to feed, to no avail.
She stares in blind defeat,
at a body bursting with
imperfections.
WORRIED EYES,
when she sees the lectures and pamphlets in health.
The documentaries in history.
LONGING EYES,
hen she stares at the magazine covers,
wanting that,
photo-shopped figure.
and
HUNGRY EYES,
when all she wishes for,
is a normal life.

This is great.. you are TRULY an amazing writer. I love the way that this is set up.. you really get the point across and made me think. I used to be the same way, but I know how unhealthy it is and I realized that although I wanted to be happy, this was not the way to go. And I hope that other peopleknow that, too! Love yourself, because you're you and that's all you'll ever be, so make the best of it, and smile. c; Great job! Xx!

Very, very good message. And the pictures you create really hit it home. I also really like the way this poem is organized, how it looks. Overall, this is a really good poem!
