Between the dates of November 12th, 2014 and November 18th, 2014, the weather is going to be as cold as 18 and as high as 34 degrees. That is according to Fox 6 News weather.

“I finally had to put away all my summer clothes and bring out the warmer things to start preparing for winter, “says Jamie Schulte, a senior at Arrowhead High School.

“Since I park my car outside, there has been frost on my windows in the morning. I have to wake up a little earlier to run out, scrape off my windows and then turn on my car to start heating it up,” says Natalie Johnson, a senior at Arrowhead High School.

“I just wish it was still 85 degrees out and nice and warm. I love being able to wear shorts and not have to worry about getting cold. Now that it is winter time again, I feel as if there isn’t as many things that my friends and [me] are able to do anymore. Now we just go to my house and watch TV because it is too cold to do anything else,” says Schulte.

Saturday, November 15th, the weather calls for light snow with temperatures between 21 and 34 degrees, a to Fox 6 News weather. Along with the days getting colder as we head into December, the days are also getting shorter.

December 21st, 2014, will be the shortest day of the year. This is called the Winter Solstice. When preparing for the Solstice, everyone should be prepared for the longest night and shortest day of the year. The sun will set at 1:37 p.m. According to timeanddate.

“In a way, I like when the days get shorter because in all honesty, it just gives me more of an excuse to sleep and I love sleeping. But then again, I don't really like it because then there is less time in the day to be able to get things done,” says Johnson.

“It is so weird driving to work when the sun is already going down. Its almost like I should be driving home instead of driving to work. I feel like I'm always late to work now since the sun is already down by 5:00 p.m, says Johnson.
