Mrs. Taylor is just your average mom, she is very supportive of her kids and she works very hard. Why not take a closer look on how she handles her job?

What do you do for a living?
I work in the accounting department for Portillo’s Food Group.

Would you consider it a “job” or a “career” and why?
A career, I guess because I’ve been in accounting for about 15 years total, and there is always room to move up.

Would you say that your job is well paying for the amount of work that you do and why?
Fair, but not generous.

Could you picture yourself doing this your whole life and why?
No, I would like to own my own business someday.

How do you feel about this?
I’m excited to hopefully own a business.

Is there anything you want to change about your job and what?
Yes, I would like everyday to be casual day.

Do you go to work because you like it, or because you want/need the money, do you wish it was different?
I go to work because I need it, like it and I think it is fine, no there is no need for change.

Do you still have time to spend with friends even though you have a busy schedule, and how do you find time to spend with friends, or how would you like to spend time with friends?
I have plenty of time to spend with friends when I choose to, I only work 30 hours a week so it is easy to find time.

What is the part of your job that you dislike the most?
Data entry, it can get boring.

What is the part of your job that you like the most?
Problem solving, I like the challenge.

Could you give some advice about how you handle the stress of a job?
You feel how you think so you should think positive.

What was your dream job when you were a kid?
To be an artist.

Thank you.
