She was born unto a brown mare and a tan stallion, yet she was a rare cremello.
She captured us with her beauty and gentleness, and her lovingness made her able to fly.
She was today, she was tomorrow, She was a half moon, a ray of sunshine in our lives.
Everyone loved her.
And then, before anyone could stop her, she was gone.
Gone with the wind.
Gone like Yesterday.
Gone like the white half of the moon that disappeared and left the rest of us in darkness.
A new moon.
A new beginning.
Why?

She flew away far, on a wind of no mercy, to a beautiful star, that left us in darkness.
On a cold, cold planet, in a world of the heartless.

We called out to her, but the howling wind deafened her and she could not hear.
We ran after her, but the darkness closed in, and she did not see.

She did not turn back.
She left us alone, clinging on only to the beautiful memories that she left behind.

We knew that we needed to start over, but we did not want to.
That fear.
Of forgetting.
Forgetting that beauty, that gentleness, that love.

Why?
That we will never know.
All we know are memories and that

Her name was Julie.
After me.

New beginning.
