Our ways of Rain
Even rainy days are beautiful here.
Early morning; we dance between the droplets, eat breakfast smelling like summer rain.
Afternoon; we skid down muddy hills and collapse into piles of laughter at the bottom.
Late night; we construct tiny tents in our beds with sheets hung over the rafters.
We whisper and giggle the night away as rain pounds the windows with a steady beat.
We jump at the thunder, gasp at the lighting, and run outside where torrents of rain weave through our hair, run down our cheeks, and stream into our laughing mouths.
