A New Type of Addict
When we think of an addict, we think of needles, of bottles, of track marks in their arms. of their eyes huge and there speech slurred. But he is a new type of addict. He was a devoted father, an amazing husband of twenty years, and a hard working man. He played soccer every weekend, and cared about his children’s grades. They never found his stash, or saw him drunk on a Monday morning. He never pond there jewelry for money. They lived in the suburbs. But he is an addict, and like all addicts he destroyed a family. No drugs, no pills, no alcohol, no shopping, or debt. Just sex. And the father of two and devoted husband was alone. But it is the first time in twenty years he is alone, no wife or children. Or the many married woman that helped destroy this once family. But then again his wife was alone for so many years. And I was raised by a sex addict.
