It's Not Me
The days grow longer, nights shorter. The girl I so desperately want to be lives inside of me. An alter ego I wish I was, I wish I could be. I want the ability to see through the eyes of someone else like she can, the ability to catch the eyes of someone else so gracefully. She walks on broken glass hoping not to be caught, not to be noticed. But everyone notices her, not me. But she’s me. She’s just not the right side of me.
