The Scary Speech
As the sound of the clock seemed to get louder, I could feel my heart beat harder. i was number 17 and number 15 just finished. on thins day in my CA class, we did impromptus, and i hate impromptus. the minutes that went by felt like an hour. it was my turn and i knew this would could only go two ways. i went to the teacher to pick my topic. my topic was cemeteries. when i walked in the room every eye hesitantly followed me as if i was walking on death row. i started the only way i knew how. all my blood rushed to my head. but i kept going knowing that i only had to talk for sixty seconds. at last the time was up. i looked at the teacher and then sat down. a huge weight lifted from my chest. now i was done and i could relax, and just wish we wouldn't do it again.
