Passion as I Know It

Passion: strong and barely controllable emotion
It emerged like a blade of grass emerging from the moist dewy dirt. I didn’t know what had been growing, hidden underground, until it suddenly appeared.
It comes in wisps, weak and lingering, but it also appears in bursts, strong and sudden, like a beam of white from a floodlight.
And then at times it is gone, visiting someone else I suppose.
