Math, a Foreign Language
Math, the most foreign language known to, well…me. Math is as foreign as China. I can understand French better than Math, now that’s sad. From as long as I could remember I wouldn’t even bother to try I was so bad. Well I finally got my break last year, my junior year. What a wonderful year. Except not, well academic wise yes. I finally understood what my teacher was talking about in Advanced Algebra.
I thought maybe I’d be good enough to become a Math teacher. Well this year sure proved me wrong. Going into ‘Functions Statistics and Trigonometry’ I was sure that I was going to pass with an A. I was right, for about the first two weeks. Then I hit rock bottom. Let’s just say Math and I no longer get along anymore. So I do not plan on being a Math teacher anytime soon again. I must say I put in my 110% effort, but I guess I just can’t understand it. Some people are just not meant for certain subjects, mine just happens to be Math.
