Two Revving Cars
They are the only ones who comfort me. I am the only one who loves them. Two revving cars with headlights and a short frame like mine. Two revving cars who do belong here and are here. Two shiney reasons staying by my side. From my room, I can hear them, but Dory just sleeps and doesn’t acknowledge these things.
Their core is secret. They send ferocious roars down the street. They get scratches, and the paint fades over time, their heart still revs with might and the muffler roars with strength. This is how they manage. Let me stray from being me, they’d both rust like a nail that's been in a fence for a long time, both fading fast.Go, Go, Go they say when I wake. They love.
When I am too sad and too low on gas to go, go, when I am lost with my headlights off, it is then they pass by. When there is nothing left for me to keep on go, go, going. Two who drive against the odds. Two who drive and do not forget to drive. Two whose only reason it is to drive and drive.
