Mitch Moves Up
Mitch, sophomore at Arrowhead plays boys soccer. As a sophomore he originally made JV, but was moved up to varsity.
After playing soccer for eight years Sutrick get’s moved up to varsity as just a sophomore.
“I’m not happy but I’m not sad about being moved up,” said Mitch
Sophomore JV captain, Jake says “I don’t like that Mitch moved up because he is a great goalie and when you lose a good goalie it is hard to find a replacement,”
“I feel that I have earned the spot because Wes missed a practice and a couple games so the coach wanted to give me a chance,” says Mitch
“Mitch is getting a good experience by playing at a higher level but isn’t always ready for the challenge,” says Jake.
Jake says that because Mitch is on varsity he has to step up and be a leader and he has to work harder to start over the other goalie
Mitch thinks that his teammates from Jv aren’t happy about him moving up to varsity but he also thinks that they are happy for him for getting the experience
“Mitch tries hard in practice so when he goes in he can show it on the field and deserves that spot on varsity,” says Jake.
Mitch says that he feels a little intimidated by the upper classmen because they are all a lot bigger than he is.
“Their so nice and I couldn’t ask for a better team,” says Mitch
