The Dreams of Life
African, Asian, European, Middle Eastern, Hispanic
Black, White, Yellow, and Red,
A melting pot of America’s Society.
Each culture we represent today,
Our Ancestors represented centuries ago.
The Rhythm we dance today
Comes from the beating of our Ancestor’s Drums.
We can feel it pounding in our souls.
The Food we enjoy this very moment comes from the minds of our Ancestors,
Recipes that are etched in their memories.
The passion and courage we portray in our self’s today, We learned from our Ancestors who were slaves, and immigrants.
They came poor, hungry, and in need
They came seeking freedom, justice, and the American Dream.
As our ancestors swept across America, They reached out to each other in unity, Sharing traditions and cultures of their past.
We live in the dreams of our Ancestors.
It is our responsibility to seek those dreams passionately
As the future belongs to those that dream.
Those that have the courage and passion to believe.
To believe in the melting pot and the American Dream
To believe that united we will shape this world
Blending the cultures, embracing the love of one another Showing we have the power and respect of our ancestors souls
Knowing that we have fulfilled the dreams of our Ancestors.
African, Asian, European, Middle Eastern, Hispanic
Black, White, Yellow, and Red
The responsibility is left in your hands, to preserve the brotherhood of man.
