Voices
At my middle school, students are rushing to get a spot on the Voices. “The Voices” is a group of both boys and girls, who have a special talent of singing. This group performs in concerts all around the state, with a high standard of their sound. Students are buzzing around the halls, buses, or even classes asking others what song they tried out with, or when their audition will be held after school. Ever since Monday, September 11th, the audition sheets have been full of eager students ready to sing and learn new songs. Plus, you don’t even need to be in choir or any music to audition.
The director of this group, is Mrs. Wildeman, who is also the choir teacher for both 7th and 8th grade. Mrs. Wildeman Says,”I created this group for the AT singers in both 8th and 7th grade, because it’s almost like having not AT math or ELA class.” In just a few short weeks, those who auditioned for this group, will either be ecstatic or heavy hearted with the results they receive.
