"I'm not mad at you because you called stefan I'm mad at you because I love you"-Damon Salvatore<br /> "I'm not sorry for loving you"-Elena Salvatore

Sometimes, I think no one listens to me, my mom, stepdad, and siblings treat me like I’m an obstacle keeping them from their happy endings. My dad left when I was six because he found out that he wasn’t my father and my twin brother disappeared after that.

My mom, stepdad, and siblings were hellbent on telling me it was my fault that he left. I started at my older brother's school two years ago and he hasn’t failed to make it a living hell for me.

Not only has he bullied me since I started here, but he also took it upon himself to ensure that I don’t gain a single friend for as long as he goes there. He doesn’t know that I have one friend that has been with me since freshman year, “Ari, hurry your slow ass up.” My best friend, Justin, screams as he runs down the hall to get away from my brother and his d*uchebag friend group as they chase us down the hall in an attempt to scare us off.

My brother doesn’t know yet, though, that I’ve started learning things about our fathers' side of the family. I always thought I was abnormally strong for a seventeen-year-old girl, but I didn’t think about it too much.

Anyway, that’s beside the point, the point is, I learned that my father's name was Poseidon, The god of the ocean. I also learned that my siblings are only half-siblings, except for Percy. My brother and sister don’t have any of my dad’s genes because they aren’t his children. It only passes to biological children like me and Percy. I always thought that maybe I wasn’t Percy’s twin because they never treated me like it.

Anyway, my brother is chasing me down for my hourly beating that happens every day after every class like clockwork.

Logan, my brother, decided it would be a good idea to chase us down to the basement of the school, down to where the pool is. Justin can’t swim, and quite frankly, neither can I.

My mother never wanted to spend money on me, but my older siblings, oh they got the world handed to them. My sister isn’t as bad as my mom, Gabe, and Logan, but she’s still pretty bad, she doesn’t talk much, but when she does, it’s never anything nice.

Last year for my birthday, I asked my mom if she got me anything and she said that I was lucky that she didn’t put me up for adoption when my dad left, but then handed Iris a present saying happy birthday. (Iris’s birthday wasn’t until a month after mine.)

As we reach the pool, Logan pushes Justin and me in and walks away. I struggle to breathe for a second as I sink to the bottom of the grime-ridden pool. Suddenly, I feel something on my arm and open my eyes. It's an equine creature that has a fishtail instead of legs and it pushes me up to the surface of the water. It gives me a look and makes a clicking sound that I somehow understand.

I nod to it before it disappears under the water again, coming back up a few seconds later with Justin's shirt clutched between its teeth. I pull Justin up onto the floor as he coughs up water. The horse disappears back under the water as I scramble to my feet pulling Justin up behind me.

As we run back down the hallway, James Potter, my other best friend, comes up in front of us. “Where the hell have you been? I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Logan’s going around saying that you two were snogging in the men's room,” He says as he wraps his arms around me and Justin.

As James pulls Justin and me toward the school doors, I hear the distinct sound of Logan screaming down the hall. As I turn around, I see Logan running toward us causing Justin and me to turn on our heels and sprint out of the doors as fast as we can.

We get as far as the Italian restaurant a mile away from the school before some bull thing attacks us.  As we turn toward it, I see someone coming from the ground. He fights the bull before turning to us and screaming for us to run.

Justin and I pick up speed as a flying carriage comes down in front of us with a blond woman and a brunette boy in it. “Get in. Nico won’t be able to hold that thing for long. We need to get you two out of here.” The boy says with a voice that is vaguely familiar to me. Justin gets in the carriage first and then I’m pulled up as it starts flying again.

As the Carriage is flying, I turn to the brunette, racking my brain to find out who he is before it clicks to me who he is. “Perc, is that you? What the actual f*ck is going on?” I ask as my twin's face flashes with recognition. “Ari, is that you?” He asks as he tries to hug me.

I pushed him away and hit his chest with my fist, “You left me. You left me with them knowing how they were. You subjected me to their abuse because you were hurt. Gabe beat me and hurt me every day, and you weren't there.” I say as tears silently spill from my eyes.

Percy brings me into a hug and lets me cry on his shoulder. As I compose myself, I pull away from the hug and look at the girl flying the carriage, “I’m sorry, I don’t think we’ve met before, I’m Azreal, but people call me Ari. Nice to meet you.” I say as she looks me up and down with a judgemental look before turning around and ignoring me.

The rest of the ride was silent as Justin fell asleep when we started flying, I had his head on my lap as I played with his long golden hair. Percy sneaks glances at me now and then, thinking I don’t notice. The girl keeps her eyes on the sky as she flies us to our destination. I snuggle up against Justin as I drift off to sleep and he wraps his arms around me in his sleep.

I wake up to Percy tapping my shoulder. He points over the side of the carriage and I look to see a camp. The girl lands the carriage as I get off with Justin and Percy following close behind me. As we walk to what looks like a farmhouse, a centaur comes over to us and hugs Percy. “Percy, my boy, how are you? I see you have completed your mission.” He says as Percy hugs him back. “Yes Chiron, this is my sibling, Azreal, and their friend Justin. I believe that Justin might also be a Demigod, seeing as he passed the border.” Percy said as Chiron came over to inspect us. “The girl talks too much. She kept chatting my ear off the whole ride.” The girl from before says to Chiron.

“That isn’t true, I only said nice to meet you and slept the rest of the,” I get cut off by a sharp pain to my face. The girl slapped me. I can not believe she just slapped me.  Before Justin or Percy could come to my defense, she hit me again, this time knocking me toward the river.

I stumbled a bit before standing up and dusting myself off. Wiping the blood off my mouth, I say, “You did not just hit me. I know you didn’t because you wouldn’t be stupid enough to do that.” I walk closer to her hearing nothing but my heart beating, and the river bubbling. As I get closer to her, I can feel the water from the river running over my face. The last thing I saw was Percy’s face twisted in horror before I blacked out.

When I wake up, Justin is on my right side while Percy is on my left. I sit up and Justin puts his hand on my shoulder. I look around and get off of the cot that I was on. Percy and Justin follow after me as I walk out of the Farmhouse. I walk over to Chiron and see James standing next to him.

I tap James on the shoulder and he turns around and hugs me, “Hey Jellybean, how are you? I was worried about you,”  He says as he pulls away from the hug. I look at him for a second and realize something, “You have antlers, why do you have antlers?” I ask him as the antlers slowly become more visible.

“Yes, I do. I am a deer, and there are things called protectors, for your brother, it was his friend Grover, and for you and Justin, it’s me. Every new camp member has one.”

He says and I look over to where Justin is. “So wait, if I’m the child of Poseidon, and Percy is the son of Poseidon, Who’s son is Justin?” I ask as I look Justin over for a second. Chiron shakes his head and the girl from before comes over to us, “You guys might wanna see this.” She says.

We walk over to the lunch pavilion and see Nico sitting with a bunch of cuts and bruises. I walk over to him and touch his shoulder feeling a flash of familiarity before getting a flashback.

{Flashback:

Nico walks over to me in the school courtyard and sits next to me. “So you’re Percy’s sibling, he didn’t tell me you were so nerdy. I’m Nico.” He says holding his hand out, “How do you know Percy? What do you want?” I ask as Nico puts his hand down. He looks at me and lifts his hand, “This is a coin, it’s called a Drachma, all you need to do is toss this into a spray of water and say oh, Iris, please grant me a call, and say who you wish to contact, or just think about it and it will send a call to the person.” I look at him like a crazy person before taking the coin. I go to ask him something but I turn around to see him gone. I continue walking into the school and try to ignore it.

End of flashback}

I jump back and take my hand off his shoulder to see that all of his wounds have healed. Nico looks up at me and smiles. “Hey, kid. It’s been a while. Thanks for the healing” He says as he stands up. All I can do is stare as Nico walks away. When I finally snap out of it, I smell the most heavenly smell ever, roast beef and mashed potatoes.

I run down to the pavilion and grab myself some food. It turns out, there wasn’t only roast beef and mashed potatoes, there was also, meatloaf, Short ribs, Nachos, Tacos, and so much more. Percy explained to me that any food the campers are craving would appear. I scooped some of my food into the fire because Percy said it was an offering for the gods and went to sit with Percy and his friends.

It takes me a bit to get accustomed to camp life but I get on fairly easily. Nico and I have been hanging out a lot more recently and he’s actually pretty cool. I learned that he’s dating Will, the camp medic, and used to have a crush on Percy. I told him about my crush on Justin and Leo and he said he understood.
