Just an Ordinary Girl With an Out-of-the-Ordinary Assignment
Summary:
Adelaide is a 13 year old girl who is a servant in the King's palace. She hates her conditions but knows no other. Suddenly, with no warning, she gets a note giving her instructions to complete a complicated task within ten days. If she fails she will die a "slow and painful death".
Adelaide struggles to escape her confinement in the castle, only to get captured. She narrowly overcomes a struggle in a bad mental state while she's in prison, and finally escapes again, this time with a little bit of help.
She succeeds in getting partway through her task, but then she runs into a bad situation, and has to make a decision that will affect her death, but maybe also her life.
