Do you know what causes the most problems in the world? Do you know why the government never gets anything done? Do you know why World War II started? Opinions. It is as simply put as that. Opinions cause more problems than they are worth. I mean, can’t we all just agree that facts are logical and have proof behind them? That they be proven false? Whereas opinions are just little blips of thoughts. So, really, why bother with opinions in the first place? It just gives people more freedom. We wouldn’t want that, now would we?

Opinions are stupid. What importance do they really hold in their nonexistence? They just cause problems and create chaos. Just look at World War II and it’s beginnings. WWII started because a crazy guy was hatin’ on the Jews. Hitler was all like, “KILL ALL OF THE JEWS! MAKE A PURE RACE! BLUE EYES AND BLONDE HAIR!” There are more problems created than are resolved.

Do you recall the saying that goes something along the lines of, “Let’s put our opinions aside and solve the problems that lie in front of us?” Well, that is exactly what should happen. Why don’t we just make opinions illegal. That will surely put all of the problems at ease. If there are no opinions, everyone would be equal. Dang, the more I think about this the better the idea gets…

If everyone was equal, then that means that there will be no issues and debates on whom should be president. If there were no opinions, there would be no need for government because then everyone would just get along. If there were no opinions, people could just be happy all of the time. Isn’t that for the best?

The world is in such chaos that all started from opinions. That crazy guy in Syria, killing his own people. The guy who killed all of those innocent children in Sandy Hooks. The hormonal teenage girls who beat up verbally, emotionally, physically on other girls just because they are jealous. The siblings who fight over the simplest things. These things all start from opinions. Opinions cause more problems than they are worth. So let’s just make them illegal.
Ignorance is bliss. So why don’t we just ban all opinions and then everyone will have the same mindset and then we will never know how corrupt our government is. Of course, there will be no government because there won’t be a reason for it. We will all just live in a bliss unbeatable by any other. The world will then be a utopia, won’t it?

A utopia. It’s what we all aim for. The perfect world. The place where nothing is wrong. Nothing will seem wrong because we won’t have the opinions for differentiating what is wrong and what isn’t wrong. What could possibly be wrong with that? The world will be perfect. The world will be better than ever. Opinions are ridiculous. They serve no purpose. They make the world a bad place. Who wants to live in that? Who wants to live in a world where people kill because they are jealous of what they have or even don’t have? Who wants to live in a world where people mass murder because someone doesn’t like the way a population of people look? Who wants to live in a world where people lie, cheat, steal, and kill all based on opinions that don’t make sense?

If we ban opinions from everyone, then the world will no longer have these issues. The world will come to this point in harmony where we all will live in peace. The world will finally be a better place through ignorance.

We were given a prompt to write about something we declare our independence from in a satirical way and this is what I came up with
